Mingzhao Yang is the President of AFD China Intellectual Property Law Office, leading the firm’s strategic management and operation teams. He represents clients in various industries including semiconductors, electronic and electrical engineering, automation, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, auto manufacture, medical instruments and devices, materials engineering, hardware tool designs, agricultural machinery, food and beverage industry, household products, footwear and garment, and more.
Mingzhao focuses his practice on intellectual property matters including prosecution, post-grant proceedings, dispute solutions, litigation, and strategic counseling. He has been committed to leading the team to provide effective solutions for clients' intellectual property matters and has successfully assisted various clients, from Fortune 500 companies to start-ups, in obtaining and protecting their intellectual property rights. His knowledge and ability are recognized by clients. He is currently a director of the All-China Patent Attorneys Association, an executive director of the Beijing Patent Attorneys Association, and a director of the Capital Intellectual Property Services Association.
Mingzhao’s academic pursuit of an Automation Engineering degree at university, coupled with his research training in enterprises, his legal trainings at the China Intellectual Property Training Center, the All-China Patent Attorneys Association, Legal Training Centers and the China Copyright Protection Center, and his IP working experience successively as an IP legal assistant, patent engineer, patent attorney, department head, and director assistant, director and partner in enterprises and IP firms, have all laid a solid foundation for his outstanding professional performance in intellectual property practice and management, as well as his excellent communication and cooperation with clients.
