AFD China Intellectual Property Law Office applied for membership of the China Intellectual Property Development Alliance in 2018 and was approved as a member recently after series of reviews and permits. In addition, AFD was enrolled in the professional committee of certification advisory services as a member in the board.
AFD has committed to assisting clients to identify, protect, and utilize their intellectual property assets over years and has also been looking for opportunities for domestic and foreign clients to establish IP cooperation. By joining the national-level platform, AFD will have better visions and resources on patent operation and utilization and thus bring more benefits to our clients while contribute a little to help build China as an IP powerhouse.
The China Intellectual Property Development Alliance was launched in 2017 under the approval of the State Intellectual Property Office (now known as CNIPA) and the initiation by the State Intellectual Property Operation Platform (SIPOP). It is the first national-level alliance focusing on the development of intellectual property. It was established to explore a suitable way to safeguard innovative development, to couple innovation with the market, to introduce and guide financial capital into innovation activities, and to transfer innovation into products and services. The members of the Alliance include tech companies, universities, research institutes, investment institutions, asset appraisal institutions, operating agencies, service agencies, and other kinds in relevance, which cover a very board spectrum of resources in connection with IP operation and utilization.
